È l'Alfa Romeo 4C la Concept car più bella dell'anno secondo i lettori della rivista tedesca Auto Bild. La vettura ha battuto tutti gli altri progetti presentati nei mesi scorsi ai Saloni internazionali di Ginevra, Detroit, Tokio e Shanghai, mettendosi in luce come sintesi perfetta dello stile italiano e dell'eccellenza tecnica finalizzata al massimo del piacere di guida in piena sicurezza.
Le stesse peculiarità contraddistinguono i due esemplari storici che hanno dominato la recente edizione 2011 del Concorso d'Eleganza di Villa d'Este: un'Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale del 1968 e una 6C 2500 SS del 1942.
Disputato per la prima volta nel 1929, il Concorso d'Eleganza è da sempre ospitato nei magnifici prati del Grand Hotel Villa d'Este e di Villa Erba a Cernobbio, sul Lago di Como. Quest'anno il Concorso ha visto la partecipazione di oltre 5.000 appassionati che hanno potuto ammirare cinquanta capolavori della storia motoristica mondiale. Protagonista indiscussa del concorso l'Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale del 1968 che ha vinto sia il Trofeo BMW Group Best of Show, il premio più importante assegnato dalla giuria, sia il Trofeo BMW Group Italia conferito dal pubblico presente a Villa Erba. Assieme a questa straordinaria fuoriserie, un'altra Alfa Romeo è stata premiata: la 6C 2500 SS del 1942, che si è aggiudicata la Coppa d'Oro, un riconoscimento assegnato per referendum.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is the most beautiful concept car of the year according to readers of German magazine Auto Bild. The car beat all other projects in recent months at the Geneva International Motor Show, Detroit, Tokyo and Shanghai, bringing to light its perfect combination of Italian style and technical excellence aimed at maximizing driving satisfaction in complete safety.
The same features characterize the two historic models that have dominated the recent 2011 edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este: the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (1968) and a 6C 2500 SS (1942).
Taking place for the first time in 1929, the "Concorso d'Eleganza" has always been housed in the magnificent lawns of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este and Villa Erba in Cernobbio on Lake Como. This year's competition saw the participation of over 5,000 fans that were able to see fifty masterpieces of world motoring history. The undisputed star of the competition was the 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which won the BMW Group Best of Show Trophy, the highest prize awarded by the jury, and the Italy BMW Group Trophy, conferred by the audience at Villa Erba. Along with this extraordinary custom-built, another Alfa Romeo has been awarded: the 1942 6C 2500 SS, which won the Gold Cup, an award given by referendum.
